This Victorian semi-detached house had a narrow galley kitchen off the dining room.  A side extension was required to widen the kitchen and small existing breakfast room to the same width as the dining room and create one open plan living space.

 

Bi-fold doors and velux windows were added to create light and open up on to the garden to allow for inside/outside living.  A new kitchen with granite worktops was installed, new doors fitted throughout the ground floor and a downstairs toilet was added.  The whole of the downstairs was painted and decorated and wooden floors fitted with underfloor heating.  Custom-made cupboards were also built to create storage space.
